I run Cogent Consulting in Melbourne with Steve Hayes, but my day job is usually consulting as a Ruby developer or an agile coach. At the time of the conference, I'm working as the Development Manager in the Data Warehouse Group at nabCapital.

Cogent Consulting needs consultants, and nabCapital needs testers. Meeting potential candidates for those roles are two of the reasons that I'm here. Send me an email at marty@cogentconsulting.com.au if you're interested.

The last reason is that I'm interested in code quality tools in the Ruby space. I've got a long history of experience using tools in the Java development space. Along the way I wrote a tool called Complexian which measures cyclomatic or npath complexity in Java code. I think the Ruby community is so far very immature in that space, so I'm interested to share experiences.
