A .Net developer interested in learning the ins and outs of CI and proper testing.

I started my interest in computers at home. Between a Commodore 64 and Transformers toys I had in grade school, I wanted to be in automation or robotics. As I worked my way through college, I studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and graduated Cum Laude with a Computer Science degree specializing in Computer Engineering from Michigan Tech. University.

My projects at iGlobal have included rewriting the control of a cellular modem, adding an additional cellular modem, and integrating an additional scanner into a C# based instrument. Both the cellular modems and scanners required creating a new interface to be used for the control and data management. The modems required creating new C++ .dll wrappers. The wrappers allowed full control in C# allowing use of several threads to manage timing and sequencing of devices. Both projects needed to be easily swapped between the current and new device with automatic detection of which one was installed.

I had 10 years at MicroPoise Balance Engineering. While there I worked on instrumentation and automation in the manufacturing industry. I am most proud of a $6 million dollar project that required the integration of the company's first automatic tool changer. During that project I proved my ability to talk to people, computers, and understand mechanical systems. While commissioning the machines, I helped reduce cycle time 63%.

With my organization skills, I managed multiple projects there. I did service work on the phone and in the field and learned how important it is to have good customer relationships. I enjoyed teamwork with the controls and mechanical departments.

I am also volunteering with my church running the sound board during services. I have been doing training from Microsoft .Net technologies to time management.
